[POEM] pillow case

a koala bear pillowcase
recused from a hotel laundry room
a Russian woman sewed it once
I imagine what she thought while pulling thread
through such thin fabric, frayed at the edges.
now it’s just a piece of ripped fabric
impossible to fully enclose a pillow
but it still feels good between the fingers
a rough rub, the sound of anxiety melting away
